Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor, musician and playback vocalist in Tamil films and Malayalam film. She first made an appearance as an actor in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was the daughter of an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. Her younger sister works as an assistant researcher from Belgium who works in Leuven. Jeremiah was raised in Chennai. He attended National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was quite a fan of science and wanted to become a psychiatrist after passing the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist when she was just eight. She joined the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. It was this group that shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. Also, she was a theatre student at her school and was a part of several stage plays organised through The Madras Players and EVAM. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her theatre career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. She also acted in an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. The actress has performed across India. She played a brief part in the final scene of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Menon asked Andrea to be the main character following her performance. she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Andrea is Kalyani in the film which is a remake of James Siegel's novel Derailed. Her husband is implicated in a relationship with her and she's blackmailed. Andrea won the role of Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and others were offered the role. The film was released in the early part of 2010. In 2011, she agreed to take on a small supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha and it was came out in August 2011. In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's love movie, Annayum Rasoolum.
