Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. Over 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. However, it has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as a feminist icon and Grammy-winning artist is considered to be the first creator of DIY music. She was one of the first artists to establish the label she created in the year 90. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian ancestry and her mom was a Montreal native. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors.
