Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. In the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in the same Games and was also the first gymnast to earn three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles and her younger sister Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region) were raised there. Simone's love for gymnastics first began when she was just six years old, during a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman as coach until the year 2011. Biles received a silver medal for vault and also a medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She began playing in elite levels of competition. Within less than two years, she became the most successful athlete in her discipline. What stood Biles out was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of effort she put into her routines throughout every event - vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
